My name is Andrew Achilleos, and I am standing to be Labour’s next Member of Parliament for Romford.
 

I started my working life at an early age as a market trader in East London and worked throughout my education at Havering College. I then became the first person in my family to go to university.
 

Since then, my personal experiences with housing, employment, childcare, and at Queen’s Hospital have made me determined to deliver a better future for Romford.

I want people in Romford to thrive, and that means investing in the services we all rely on. We need community policing restored to keep our streets safe, more GPs and nurses so that families can get the good quality healthcare they deserve at Queen's Hospital, alongside vibrant high streets, and town centres to build sustained growth in the local economy and deliver jobs. I will also work hard to fix the broken childcare system which is failing local families like mine.
 

Mostly, I want people to feel proud of Romford again.
 

There is a straightforward choice at this election. Local people can vote for five more years of Tory despair or a fresh start with Labour. 
 

When you go to the ballot box on Thursday 4 July, ask yourself this: has anything got any better in the last 14 years? It's time for change. 
 

I am standing to be your next MP with a simple offer, to give the people of Romford their voice back. That's what I plan to do.
